Eye allergies and other eye ailments are very common these days. The pollution and dust tend to infect the eyes but there is one more thing that affects our eyes and we don’t even pay attention to that cause. Staring at computer screens, mobile phones, etc. affect the eyes too much.

It is also known as the computer vision syndrome. The symptoms may include redness in eyes, swelling, burning sensation, etc. If you are affected by this, you can either opt for Ayurvedic treatment for computer vision syndrome or try a few Ayurvedic remedies.

Warm Compress

If you are looking the great Ayurvedic treatment for eye pressure then warm compress is your answer. Warm compress is one of the most effective and efficiently used remedies that works wonderfully. The heat from warm compress increases the blood circulation which heals faster and provides instant comfort to eyes. It also helps in reducing swelling and eye redness.

Dab a cloth in lukewarm water and squeeze the excess water. Place this cloth on the affected eyelid for a minimum of 5 minutes. Repeat this procedure till you start to feel better.

Honey

Honey consists antibacterial properties that vanish the harmful bacteria in the eye that may be the major cause of eye infection. Prepare the honey solution by mixing equal parts of both honey and water. Dab a clean cotton ball in it and squeeze the excessive solution. Apply this solution on your eyes. Green Tea

Packed with tannic acid, green tea is an amazing Ayurvedic treatment for eye diseases. Tannic acid helps in keeping infections at bay as it helps in providing relief in itchiness and also reduces eye puffiness. Green tea is also rich in antioxidants which improve your overall eye health.

Chamomile

Chamomile is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and anti-irritant properties which make it an incredible remedy for treating various eye ailments and also an effective Ayurvedic treatment for improving eyesight. Due to its calming and soothing properties chamomile reduces redness and swelling of the eyes. It is also great if you are suffering from conjunctivitis.

Boil 1 cup of water and add 1 tablespoon of dried chamomile flowers to it. Allow it to cool. Use this solution to clean your eyes. Repeat this until you start to feel better.

Cucumber

Cucumber tends to provide great relief in many eye allergies because it is packed with anti-irritation properties which lead to instant relief. Cucumber helps in reducing the burning sensation, puffiness, swelling, itchiness, and inflammation in the eyes. Take a fresh cucumber out of your refrigerator and wash it off. Carefully cut two thin slices of it and place it on your eyelids for a minimum of 15 minutes.

Cold Milk

Cold milk also is a wonderful Ayurvedic remedy to treat various eye ailments and allergies. This remedy works great for itchy eyes and red eyes. Cold milk is excellent in reducing the burning sensation. Dab a cotton ball in cold milk and squeeze the excess milk. Place the cotton balls on the eyelids and lie down. Repeat this procedure a few times till you experience relief.
