Baking Soda

Baking soda is one of the effective ways to get rid of dandruff. The best thing about this remedy is that you can buy it from anywhere and it’s cheap too. All you have to do is take 1 part of baking soda and 3 parts of water. Mix it all together and apply it on to your scalp. Massage it on the scalp for a minimum of 3 minutes. Wash off with cold water. Notice the results within the very first wash.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Another effective home remedy, apple cider vinegar also eliminates dandruff and gives you a clean scalp. Apple cider vinegar also terminates the chemical buildup which can also be a reason of your hair loss. Take 1 part of apple cider vinegar and 9 parts of water. Give it a good swirl and apply it onto your scalp. Massage gently and rinse thoroughly with cold water afterward. It will not only help you in eliminate dandruff but also boost your hair growth.

Coconut Oil

Dandruff happens due to the dry scalp. Dandruff is also a way of saying that your scalp lacks nourishment. This is where coconut comes in. Take suffice amount of coconut oil and heat it. Allow it to cool but not thoroughly. It should be lukewarm. Part your hair and start applying coconut oil with the help of a cotton ball. Make sure that your entire scalp is covered. You can also cover your head with a shower cap so you don’t stain your pillow.

Wash off in the morning followed by the shampoo and conditioner as usual. This will make your hair soft, shiny, and longer with no dandruff.

Olive Oil

Olive oil helps in nourishing your scalp and also eliminates dandruff. You can either apply lukewarm olive oil and keep it overnight or you can mix it with coconut oil and massage as usual. Keep it overnight and wash off as usual.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil contains strong antifungal properties which make it an excellent treatment for dandruff. Just mix a few drops of tea tree oil in your shampoo. Wash your hair with this shampoo every time. Notice the visible difference within first wash.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice contains acids that fight fungi which lead to no dandruff. Squeeze half a lemon in yogurt and apply it on your scalp. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash off with shampoo.

Aspirin

Aspirin is packed with salicylic acid that controls and prevents dandruff. Crush 2 aspirins and take sufficient amount of shampoo in your hair. Apply it on the scalp and massage it gently. Wash off with lukewarm water.
